Antico Cane Corso is a family-owned kennel located in Northern California on the redwood coast, in Arcata, CA.  Over the years, we have remained small so that our focus continues to lie on providing our breeding stock and puppies with the love and attention they need and deserve.  Our dogs do not spend their lives in kennels; we share our home with our dogs and each is a beloved and respected member of our family.

At Antico Cane Corso, we have been committed to excellence from our beginning.

At Antico Cane Corso, we have been active in dog sportsmanship through championing and titling Cane Corso. We have a commitment to high standards and it shows through in each of our carefully planned breedings.  All of our breed stock has been health tested and temperament tested.  In addition, the most proper care has been taken to ensure we are delivering the highest quality Cane Corso available; we have researched and taken in bloodlines from some of the top Cane Corso kennels in the world.

Some of our accomplishments include: CCAA Working Dog of the Year (Titan,2009), Youngest Corso to achieve AKC CD Title (Reba @ 9 mos), 1st Corso on the Registry of Merit for the Breed (Leona, ROM), 1st AKC Breeder-Owner-Handler Champion (Storm) & TEC1 Certification (Leona & Reba,) and an Invitation to compete at Westminster Kennel Dog Show in NYC (Storm, 2009.)We are passionate about breeding the Cane Corso and have made it a dedication to our lives. We're not just breeding Champion Bloodlines, We're breeding Champions!

We became involved in the Cane Corso breed in 2006 after falling in love with our fist Corso we purchased, Max. We quickly began showing through NAKC, The American Rare Breed Association and in the Miscellaneous class of the AKC, prior to the Cane Corso breed becoming fully recognized by the AKC when we purchased our 2nd Cane Corso, Leona in 2007.  In 2009, Antico bred it’s first litter, which resulted in Westminter invite, Antico’s First Storm and International Champion, Antico’s Echo. In 2010, The Cane Corso breed was recognized by the American Kennel Club.  All five of our foundation dogs are listed in the AKC's Foundation Stock Service, a historical listing of the first 2000 Cane Corsi to start the AKC's registry of the breed.  We have attended dog shows all over the United States competing with Cane Corsos in Conformation, Rally, and Obedience, including AKC National Specialty events and CCAA Working Dog of the Year trials. We were invited to compete at the Westminster Show in 2009 in the Breeder-Owner-Handler class.

We are truly committed to bettering the Cane Corso breed and consider ourselves privileged to experience the important moments with this breed that make us fall in love with the Cane Corso over again each day.  We are confident that you too will be impressed with the magnificence of this very special breed and look forward to hearing from you.
